Notes for Tutor: Lesson Three – Phonic Book Seven
1. Before the lesson begins discuss with the children how to put words in alphabetical order when
all the words begin with the same letter.
See if they can work it out (problem solving) without you having to tell them.
2. A beneficial activity is to provide each pair of children with a (simple) dictionary and let them
browse through it finding examples of what you have just discussed.
