1. Revision: Read page 26. Point to each word below and put it
into a sentence.

2. The words you are going to read today all have ‘ce’ as in face
in them. (The letters ‘ce’ together make a ‘s’ sound.)
3. Pointing to the caption under the face read ‘ce’ as in face.
4. Read the following words:
face rice cents cell prince fence
5. Discuss the meaning of each word with your tutor.
6. Under line the ‘ce’ in each word. Say the words again and
listen for the sound these letters make.
7. Turn to page 28 and follow the instructions.

8. Find the flash card for ‘ce’ as in face and put it with the other
flash cards from Phonic Pack 5.
9. When you can easily recognise the sounds from the flash cards
with the pictures, practise the sounds using the flash card
